Have you guys heard about Zero Waste Week?
Now in it’s ninth year, it’s an initiative set up by Zero Hero Rachelle Strauss to encourage us all to think more about what we are throwing ‘away’. Because as we know, there is no such place as ‘away’.

This year’s theme is Food Waste, but that doesn’t mean that we can’t still think about fixing and repair in the context of the week (and indeed Zero Waste in general). After Refuse and Reduce, Repair and Re-use are next along in the ‘waste hierarchy’ and are such useful ways to prolong the life of our things and reduce landfill.

If you’re wondering where to start, check out this post from Treehugger with “10 things you can repair in under 10 minutes”.
